The Koi meeting and Awards evening was well attended and the awards were handed out by our Chairman Terry Blackwell, we ourselves took five first placings and four seconds.
Terry handed out a Certificate to each competitor and a Marks and Spencer Lotus Flower Wax Lantern with sented room scenter in either Pink or green (I got the last green one lol).
The rest of the evening was taken up with the raffle and Koi show Business for this year and ideas for 2009
Saturday saw Val and I at our friends Rob and Jennys wedding with me as best man, the wedding was marred only by rain and it took place at St Marys church Plympton.
St Marys is an 800 year old church just steeped in history, and a most beautiful church, after the service the bride was suprised to find her favourite horse waiting outside the church Decked out with white carnations platted in her mane and by then the rain didn't matter.
The reception was held in the New continental in Plymouth and was attended by about 60 people or maybe more (I lost count) the brides father Terry did his speech then it should have been the grooms but I was next up, my speech went down well got laughs in all the right places as did the Groom's the evening ending at 0130 tired in pain but happy that I'd helped to make my best mate and his brides day a perfect one.
